I’m Katy — a South Wales wedding photographer based in Gorseinon, and I absolutely LOVE weddings. For me, wedding photography is about more than images: it’s about telling the story of your day with honesty, heart and a little bit of epic. Couples choose me because I bring a calm, joyful presence to the day, capturing the small moments that mean the most while creating romantic couple portraits that genuinely move you. My approach is natural, authentic and relaxed. I get to know you both before the wedding so that on the day we feel like old friends rather than strangers with cameras. That connection helps couples relax, so the photos feel unforced — full of real laughter, quiet glances and the energy of everyone around you. I immerse myself in the fabric of your day: cheering you on, helping with little details when needed, and always looking for those emotional, cinematic moments that become family heirlooms. Planning is central to how I work. Every full-day package includes a pre-wedding shoot and a planning meeting so we can build a timeline, plan for different light and weather, and make sure nothing gets missed. On the wedding day I’m there from preparations through to your first dance (and often a little beyond), delivering hundreds of professionally edited photos in a password-protected online gallery plus a beautifully presented USB and keepsake box. For couples who want them, handcrafted albums are available to turn your story into a tactile keepsake. I come from a background of event organising and family life in Swansea, which gives me a blend of organisation and emotion that comes in very handy on busy wedding days. I was honoured to be named Best Wedding Photographer in South Wales at the Welsh National Wedding Awards 2024 — an accolade that means a lot because it reflects the votes and kind words of past couples.
