Hi — I’m Rich (most people call me Lloyd). Based in Gelligaer, I’m a South Wales wedding photographer who loves working with couples who aren’t “photo people.” If the idea of posing stresses you out, that’s fine — it’s exactly who I enjoy photographing. Why choose me: I specialise in relaxed, chilled-out wedding photography that emphasises genuine emotion over stiff formality. Over years of shooting weddings across South Wales I’ve perfected a style that feels more like hanging out with a mate than posing for portraits. Couples tell me I blend into the day, make guests laugh, and quietly capture the moments that matter — from awkward giggles getting ready to the proper party on the dance floor. What makes my approach special: My work is documentary-led with a creative eye for the little details and the big feelings. I trained in performing arts and dance, so I’m comfortable directing a moment when it helps, but mostly I let things unfold and photograph the truth of your day. I’m a bit of a geek (comics, Star Wars, film nights on Discord) and I bring that light-hearted energy to weddings — it keeps everyone relaxed, and the results are more natural and joyful. How I work with you: My aim is to make the whole experience easy and fun. We’ll chat before the wedding so I understand what matters to you; many couples choose a pre-wedding (engagement) shoot to feel more comfortable in front of the camera — it’s a brilliant way to get relaxed and have a laugh before the big day. On the wedding day I’m unobtrusive, friendly and fully present. I love barns, vineyards, country houses and coastal spots across South Wales, and I’ll find the right light and locations without making the day feel like a photoshoot. A little about me: I live locally with my partner, two kids and our dog “The Hound.” I love a good cheese board, a pair of trusty trainers, and cracking dad jokes when needed to loosen everyone up.
