I’m Peter Williams and for more than 20 years I’ve photographed stories across Mid Wales — from news and sporting action to the intimate, unrepeatable moments of wedding days. Based in Ebbw Vale, I specialise in documentary-style wedding photography, focusing on honest, natural images that let you relive the emotion of your day. My approach is simple: I tell the visual story without unnecessary interference. I blend in with your guests, stay alert for the small gestures and spontaneous moments — the tears, the laughter, the crazy dancing — and capture them in a reportage style that feels authentic rather than staged. That documentary reportage background comes from years as a staff photographer at the Brecon & Radnor Express and work for national press and PR clients, so timing, composition and telling detail are second nature. Working with me is relaxed and collaborative. Before the wedding I like to have a conversation about your day so I understand what matters to you. Although wedding photography is my core focus, my experience in events and press work gives me the edge when fast-moving moments matter. I’m used to adapting to venues across Mid Wales and beyond, and I know the area well, which helps with location choices and timing.
