Hi — I’m James Goodall, a wedding photographer based in Brymbo (Wrexham) who specialises in authentic, photojournalistic wedding photography. Since 2018 I’ve dedicated my craft to documenting real, unscripted moments on the wedding day: the quiet nerves in bridal prep, the spontaneous laughter, the stolen glances and the celebrations that follow. My aim is simple — to create professional wedding photos that feel honest and timeless rather than staged. My approach is calm and unobtrusive. I blend into the day and let the story of your wedding unfold naturally, stepping in when gentle direction will help create a more meaningful image. That balance of documentary instinct and a touch of artistic framing means you get a gallery of images that read like a story — a collection you’ll want to return to for years to come. Training at the British Academy of Photography gave me a strong technical foundation, and years of shooting weddings have sharpened my ability to anticipate emotional, decisive moments. I take pride in being professional and approachable — couples often tell me they felt relaxed and able to enjoy their day, trusting I’d capture the important parts without fuss. While wedding photography is my core focus, I also cover related sessions linked to your big day, such as engagement shoots and bridal portraits, arranged to complement your wedding coverage and help you feel comfortable in front of the camera. I mainly photograph across North Wales and North West England and am always happy to travel further when a wedding sparks my creativity.
