Hi — I’m Henry, the photographer behind HJBPhotography, based in Bridgend and specialising in wedding photography. My work is rooted in a calm, creative, and genuinely relaxed approach: I aim to document your day as it happens, letting real moments — quiet glances, surprise arrivals, and late-night antics — sit at the centre of the story. Weddings are full of the unexpected, and I love capturing the small details and honest emotions that make each day unique. As a wedding specialist I balance unobtrusive photojournalism with considered creative portraits. I use natural light, simple direction, and a friendly, easy-going manner to help couples feel at ease so they can forget the camera and be themselves. Whether your celebration is a riverside marquee in South Wales, a countryside manor near Bridgend, or a lively city reception, I aim to produce wedding photos that look and feel like you — warm, authentic and full of character. My approach is personal and collaborative. I’ll start by listening: a coffee chat is a great way to talk through your plans, sense your style, and answer any questions. On the wedding day I move through the day with respect and energy, prioritising genuine moments over posed formality while still making time for the portraits you’ll treasure. Post-shoot I focus on careful editing and storytelling in the images — quality and personality matter more to me than rushing out the gallery. While weddings are my core focus, I also shoot engagement sessions and work across events and family photography in South Wales — all of which inform how I see and capture a wedding day. I occasionally collaborate on video projects but want to be clear: wedding photography is where my specialism and heart lie.
