Tell me your story and I’ll tell it back to you in photographs. I’m Lawrence — a Viewpark-based wedding photographer serving Glasgow, Scotland and couples who travel further afield. I’ve been photographing weddings and portraits since 1986, and that long-running love for the job shows in the way I work: wholehearted, personal and focused on the real moments that matter. My approach is simple and rooted in storytelling. I aim to be part of the day without being intrusive — blending in like a guest while keeping front row seats to the moments you’ll want to revisit for the rest of your life. Whether it’s quiet glances, unguarded laughter, or the small details that tell the wider story, I look to capture emotion rather than stage it. This relaxed, documentary-led style helps couples who are camera-shy feel comfortable and yields images that feel natural and timeless. Working with me is collaborative and low-pressure. We’ll meet, have a chat and get to know one another — often with a walk-and-shoot engagement session so you know how I work before the big day. On the wedding day I keep things friendly and calm, guiding when needed but mostly observing so your day unfolds organically. I personally craft the final images to my style, prioritising quality and emotional truth over quantity. I love travelling for weddings and have a deep appreciation for Scotland’s landscapes — from intimate city celebrations to Highland elopements. My clients often tell me they chose me because I feel like a trusted friend on the day: professional, approachable and a little bit fun. Those relationships matter; many of my couples return for portraits and family shoots, which is one of the most rewarding parts of this work.
