Hello — I’m Simon, the person behind SimonsStudio, and I specialise in wedding photography from my Bearsden base. If you want stylish, relaxed, fun and energetic wedding photos that actually feel like you, we’ll get on famously. I’m a people person first and a photographer second: my job is to make everyone comfortable, whether you’re model-confident or absolutely not, so you enjoy the day and the pictures. Why choose me? Because I treat your day like it matters (it does). I’ve spent years shooting weddings across Glasgow, Scotland and beyond, and the one thing that keeps me coming back is the energy of the day — the laughter, the little private looks and the chaotic joy. My style looks for connection and the moments other photographers don’t always notice. I’m not into stiff, posed images for the sake of it. Instead I create a mix of candid storytelling and considered portraits that together tell the full, honest story of your day. How I work with couples: it’s simple and human. We’ll have a proper chat — in person or on Facetime — about what you want and how you see the day unfolding. If you like, we can do an engagement shoot beforehand to break the ice and get you used to my relaxed approach. On the wedding day I move around unobtrusively, ready for the real moments, but I’ll step in when direction makes things better (and yes, I can rally a crowd if needed). Film and creative options: I love shooting digital but I’ve also reintroduced 35mm and 120mm film into my work. Film brings a different mood and texture to images, and I’m happy to discuss how it might suit your wedding or engagement shoot. I’m based in Bearsden and proud to shoot across Glasgow and Scotland.
