I’m Kathryn (yup, Tuckerman) — a wedding photographer based in Ayr who loves making wedding days feel joyful, not staged. My approach is fun, relaxed and documentary-led: I look for movement, emotion and beautiful light so your images feel like honest memories rather than a photoshoot. Why choose me? I’ll work behind the scenes, grabbing the candid moments that make your day unique while taking just a few sweet pockets of time for portraits. Those 10–15 minute wanderings together become some of the most treasured images — quiet, real and full of connection. I also make the family-formals painless and efficient because I know you’d rather be with your guests than balancing poses. My style sits somewhere between documentary and romantic; I’m drawn to genuine reactions, little in-between details and natural light. Whether it’s a storm at Rowallan Castle or a sunlit confetti run, I’m there to catch the mood — the laughs, the tears and the wild dancing — with an eye for composition and emotion. How I work: we’ll have a proper chat to make sure we’re a good fit, and I’ll be in touch in the run-up to your day to plan timings and any group-shot logistics. On the wedding day I’m all in — anticipating light, smoothing out moments, and quietly capturing the story as it unfolds. After the wedding I edit each image by hand to make sure your final gallery feels cohesive and true to the day. Extras and keepsakes: I love helping couples turn images into tangible memories. I design heirloom albums with you, and I offer short highlight films as a moving complement to your photographs — think clips of your day set to carefully chosen music. While wedding photography is my core focus and passion, I also photograph family, maternity and occasional events, plus brand and product shoots when it fits.
