I’m Gemma — the person behind Esther Morgan Photography — and I specialise in wedding photography from my home on the West Coast of Scotland. My work is rooted in documentary-led storytelling: I look for the honest, unscripted moments that make your day uniquely yours and I shape them into images that keep giving back every time you look. I’m warm, chatty and quietly organised; I’ll get to know you in our initial chat so I can show up feeling like someone you already trust. That connection helps me capture relaxed, natural moments rather than stiff poses. Growing up on a farm and now raising four boys, I’m endlessly inspired by family life and authentic emotion — that’s what I aim to preserve for you. My approach is collaborative. We Chat to see if we gel and to work out your priorities, then We Work Together to plan timing and key moments so the photography flows with your day. On the wedding day I’ll be there from prep until the party’s in full swing — I turn up early and stay until the celebrations are well underway — quietly crafting images while you live the moments. I specialise in creating visual legacies you’ll reach for again and again. After the day I head to my editing cave to craft a preview within 2–3 days so you can relive a little of the magic straight away, with the full gallery delivered in the weeks that follow. If you’d like, I also offer hybrid options that allow you to pair your photos with a short highlight film — a beautiful way to watch the day unfold and hear the atmosphere come alive. Based in Ayr and shooting across Ayrshire and the West of Scotland, I love travelling for weddings both near and beyond.
