I absolutely LOVE shooting weddings. Based in Alloa, I specialise in documentary-style wedding photography — a visual approach that prioritises genuine moments over staged poses. My background in landscape photography informs the way I see light, space and composition, so where I can, I weave that sense of place into the story of your day. My aim is simple: to deliver professional wedding photos that feel honest, relaxed and rooted in the emotions of the moment. I spend a lot of my time when I'm not photographing the bride and groom mingling with guests so they get used to me. That means when I take candids, people know I’m there but don’t think “CRAP... a guy with a camera!!!” The result is imagery that reads like a narrative — little details, spontaneous laughter and quiet glances that together become your wedding story. Choosing me means choosing someone who treats your day with real care. I put everything I have into every wedding because I don’t know how to do it any other way. My influences in both historic and contemporary photography inform my technique, while recognition such as multiple Wedisson features reflects the attention I give to craft and composition. I approach each wedding with the same goal: to create a gallery of images you’ll return to again and again. How I work: I prefer a relaxed, personable relationship with couples. Before the day we’ll discuss the flow, the moments that matter most to you and any locations you love — I often incorporate landscape elements where they complement the story. On the day I blend into the background to capture atmosphere and candid interactions, stepping in for unobtrusive portraits when needed. While weddings are my core focus, I also photograph couple and family sessions on location.
