HELLO – my name is Iain and since 2009 I have been photographing weddings. Based in Thamesmead and regularly working across London and beyond, I specialise in wedding photography with a clear focus: creating clean, vibrant, colourful images that stand the test of time. Over 400 weddings have taught me that experience matters. I blend creative, contemporary portraits with a documentary reportage style — meaning you get striking, editorial images as well as those quiet, unposed moments that tell the story of your day. My style is simple: honest, colourful and considered. I love creative portraiture when the light and location allow it, but I equally enjoy capturing candid moments — laughter, the exchange of glances, the atmosphere of the room — often when no one is looking. That mix of creative direction and unobtrusive documentary work gives couples a beautiful, authentic record of their wedding. How I work: I aim to be friendly and relaxed so you feel comfortable from the first chat to the final photograph. Before your day we talk through timings and what matters most to you. On the day I pick my moments carefully — stepping in when a portrait or group shot will add real value and staying discreet the rest of the time so you can enjoy your guests. If the light is perfect for a sunset portrait, brute force may be used. I’ve been lucky enough to shoot weddings across the world — from the Sydney Opera House to the north shore of Hawaii and the highlands of Scotland — as well as countless beautiful ceremonies across London. That experience means I know how to adapt to different venues, cultures and rhythms of a day. I also photograph engagement sessions to help couples relax in front of the camera and build confidence before the wedding day.
