I’m Peter Blanchflower — a wedding photographer based in Shirley, Solihull, and weddings are my passion. Having photographed well over a thousand weddings, I bring calm experience and a practical, human approach to every wedding day. My priority is always to help you enjoy the day rather than turning it into a photoshoot: I work quietly, intuitively and with a sense of humour so couples and guests can relax and be themselves. My style is rooted in capturing authentic, unforced moments. I favour a documentary-led approach that records the real emotions, small gestures and spontaneous joy that make each wedding unique. When formal portraits are needed I guide people gently with clear, friendly direction so the images feel natural, flattering and timeless. Experience matters at a wedding — it’s not just about taking beautiful pictures but knowing when to step in, when to be invisible, and how to organise a busy day so everything runs smoothly. Over the years venue teams and industry colleagues have entrusted me with their own weddings — from Nailcote Hall and Ardencote Manor to Warwick Castle — which I take as one of the highest compliments. That trust reflects the practical, organised way I operate and the consistency of the images I deliver. Uniquely, I also offer discreet wedding video alongside my photography. Because I’m already part of the day photographing, the video coverage is unobtrusive and natural — a short, watchable film that brings the day back to life. If you prefer, I can be booked purely as a videographer too. I aim to build a relaxed working relationship with every couple. Before the wedding I like to meet or photograph you in a pre-wedding session so you know how I work and we feel comfortable together — that familiarity makes all the difference on the day. I also work on occasional portrait, family and commercial assignments, but my core focus and expertise is wedding photography.
