I’m Jamie Melville — a Pimlico-based, ARPS-accredited wedding photographer who specialises in documentary-led wedding photography. My practice sits at the intersection of portrait, documentary and fine art: I’m drawn to the quiet, unplanned moments that reveal the real feeling of a day, as much as the composed portraits that become family heirlooms. I prepare thoroughly — visiting venues when I can and making contingency plans so the day runs smoothly whether it rains or shines. During couple time I aim to put you at ease, guiding relaxed movement and conversation so natural, emotive photographs happen without forced poses. Artistically, my work is influenced by documentary traditions and a fine-art sensibility. I photograph with an intent to record relationships, gestures and textures: the small details you spent months planning, the exchanged glances, and the laughter that arrives later in the night. I also offer optional support such as a second photographer where needed, and I deliver a carefully edited collection of high-resolution images via a secure online gallery so you can share and print your favourites. Based in Pimlico and working across London and beyond, I treat every wedding as a unique project.
