Hi — I’m Matt. Based in Peacehaven, I specialise in documentary wedding photography for couples across Sussex, Brighton and the wider UK. My work is rooted in a relaxed, unobtrusive approach that favours real moments over stiff posing. I aim to create images that feel like how the day truly felt: natural, emotive and timeless. My background and life in Tarifa and Sussex have taught me to work sensitively with light, space and mood so your photos look effortless and authentic. How I work: I stay unobtrusive for most of the day, blending in with guests and capturing events as they unfold. When portraits or family groups are needed, I keep things simple and relaxed so you’re back enjoying your day quickly. Before the wedding we’ll meet — usually over a coffee or a video call — so you feel comfortable and confident. Many couples also opt for an engagement shoot to get to know one another and loosen up in front of the camera. My approach is friendly, calm and collaborative. I believe the best photos come from trust and connection, so I invest time in understanding what matters to you: the people, the tone and the little details. I’m honoured to have been recognised for documentary work, but awards aren’t what drives me — it’s creating images that let you relive the emotions of your wedding for years to come.
