Hi — I’m Chris Burch, Somerset Photographer, based in Glastonbury (Mendip). Photographing weddings is my true passion: I specialise in wedding photography and engagement shoots, working with couples across Somerset and the UK to create natural, light, colourful images that feel fun, beautiful and utterly honest. I have a natural ability to connect with people quickly, which helps even the most camera-shy guests relax and be themselves. That’s how I capture THE REAL YOU — those unposed glances, laughter, small details and big emotions that make a day unique. My images are bright, colourful and full of life, with an eye for both candid moments and thoughtfully composed couple portraits. How I work on the day: I blend into the occasion, knowing when to step back and when to direct. I enjoy chatting as I go — calming nerves, helping with the dress or buttonholes, and making the whole process feel easy and enjoyable. I often work with a second shooter to capture multiple viewpoints and extra candid moments, which enriches the story of your day. After the wedding you’ll receive your images via a private online gallery so you can download and share them with family and friends. Beyond weddings: As well as specialising in wedding photography, I also offer studio and location portrait and family photography — bumps, babies and family sessions in and around Mendip. These sessions share the same emphasis on relaxed, fun portraits and include both posed and natural shots. I’m always open to ideas and enjoy working with couples and families who want photographs that feel authentic rather than staged. I’ve photographed ceremonies and celebrations across the South West and beyond, and I love travelling for special days.
