If you want wedding photography that feels like you — relaxed, real and a little bit joyful — I’m Geneviève at Queen Bea Photography, based in Mendip. My speciality is documentary-style wedding photography: I quietly follow the story of your day, hunting for the honest moments that make weddings unforgettable — tears at the aisle, kids on the dancefloor, and those tiny in-between gestures that pose-perfect shots rarely catch. Why choose me? I photograph weddings the way I want my own photos to be taken: candid, colourful, and never cringe-inducing. I’ve built a style I call ‘fun art’ — light, bright, and film-influenced — so your images have warmth, punch and a timeless feel. I’m obsessive about making people feel at ease (I do talk a lot; sometimes I even make acceptable jokes). That friendliness means camera-shy couples relax quickly, and the best photos happen almost by themselves. What makes my approach special is the blend of documentary instinct and a gentle creative eye. I work predominantly as a wedding photographer — shooting both digital and 35mm film — so whether you want a modern gallery or the grainy romance of analogue frames, I can deliver a beautiful hybrid result. Engagement / pre-wedding shoots are available too — they’re a brilliant icebreaker and a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera before the big day. I also offer candid highlights videos as an add-on, filmed alongside the photography for a natural, affordable reel of clips you’ll want to rewatch. How I work on your wedding day is straightforward: I’ll be unobtrusive, warm and attentive. Beforehand we’ll chat through your day so I know the moments you care about; on the day I’ll stay in the background, capturing the narrative, stepping in only for meaningful couple portraits or quick group shots. After the wedding I carefully edit your images to my light, colourful style and present them in an easy-to-share gallery. I’m proud to be inclusive and especially passionate about photographing LGBTQ+ celebrations. Based in Mendip but covering the UK (and available for destination weddings), I love meeting couples who want photography that’s relaxed, honest and full of personality.
