I’m Kate Swerdlow, a Liverpool-based wedding photographer who specialises in documenting weddings and events with warmth, clarity and heart. With more than a decade photographing Jewish weddings, Bar & Bat Mitzvahs and celebrations across the North West and beyond, I know how to anticipate the rhythm of a day and capture the moments that matter — from the quiet, stolen glances to the full-on joy of the dance floor. My approach is relaxed, respectful and highly attentive. I work unobtrusively throughout your ceremony and reception, blending documentary storytelling with gentle portrait direction so you get both authentic, candid images and composed bridal portraits you’ll be proud to display. Being Jewish myself, I’m completely comfortable with traditional rituals and timings — standing front row under the chuppah is a responsibility I never take lightly. Working with me is straightforward and personal. We’ll begin with a conversation about your plans and what matters most to you, then design a bespoke photography package to suit your day — whether that’s full-day coverage, an engagement session, or a short civil service shoot. On the wedding day I aim to be calm, organised and friendly: guiding family portraits efficiently, capturing atmosphere without interrupting it, and creating a warm atmosphere that helps even camera-shy guests relax. After the wedding you’ll receive a high-resolution digital download and a curated USB, plus access to an online gallery for family and friends. If you’d like printed keepsakes, I offer a range of beautiful albums, folio boxes and wall art to turn your images into lasting heirlooms. While my primary focus is weddings and events, I also photograph family and portrait work as part of the wider service offering.
