Hey — I’m Nick. Based in Lincoln, I photograph weddings with a single-minded focus: telling your day as it actually happens. My approach is documentary-first — nothing staged, nothing posed — which means you get genuine, emotional images that feel like memories, not photoshoots. Couples come to me because they want to enjoy their day and still have beautiful, meaningful pictures to look back on. My background as a Royal Marine taught me how to read moments, stay calm under pressure and blend into a busy scene — skills I use every wedding day. I work quietly and unobtrusively, often described as a “ninja photographer”, so you’ll hardly notice I’m there while I capture the highlights and the little in-between moments: the nervous laugh before the ceremony, the stolen glances, the chaotic joy of the dancefloor. I specialise in candid, documentary wedding photography across Lincoln and the UK. I don’t use shot lists, cheesy poses or staged group heart shapes. If you want a couple of relaxed portraits, I’ll take you for a short 5–10 minute walk and capture you being yourselves — no awkward holding, no rigid poses. Family photos are important, but I keep them quick and efficient, focusing on the combinations that matter most so you get back to celebrating. Working with me is straightforward and relaxed. We’ll have a quick chat to make sure we’re a good fit, then I’ll be available for planning advice up to the day. On the wedding day I immerse myself in the atmosphere, becoming more of a guest than a visible third wheel. Afterward you’ll get a small preview within a few days and a full online gallery a few weeks later, with an option for a faster turnaround if you need images urgently. I’ve been fortunate to win international documentary and photojournalism awards and to be featured in industry roundups — recognition I put back into delivering calmer, more thoughtful coverage for my couples. I also photograph military weddings regularly and understand the traditions and timings they often demand.
