Hi — I’m Paul Massey, a wedding photographer based in Lincoln. My work is driven by a simple aim: to produce images that have style, emotion and drama. I fell in love with photography in the darkroom — printing for fashion photographers and even processing rolls for the greats — and that hands-on, analogue sensibility still informs how I shoot today. Why choose me? I combine documentary instinct with technical lighting to create wedding photography that feels honest and cinematic. I start most days with bridal preparation, finding natural light and those unguarded moments — the ‘bride squad’ reaction, a father’s first look — then balance those documentary images with crafted portraits. My portable studio flash gives me creative freedom outdoors and at night, allowing moody skies, striking silhouettes and studio-quality lighting wherever we shoot. My approach is relaxed and collaborative. I get to know couples before the day so I can plan the right locations and timings; on the wedding morning I work quietly and confidently to set the tone, moving between reportage and directed portraits so you get a varied, meaningful collection of images. I love the mix of storytelling and artistry — candid laughter, emotional vows, and bold couple portraits that look incredible on a wall or in an album. I still shoot on film and polaroid when it suits the day, and I offer a unique polaroid signing frame that gives couples an immediate, tangible memento. I also produce fine-art, handmade albums from Graphi in Italy — beautiful heirlooms that preserve your images beyond screens. Although weddings are my core focus, I also shoot maternity and portrait work: maternity sessions in a professional studio nearby and intimate newborn or family portraits in your home. My priority is always to deliver professional wedding photos that feel personal to you.
