I’m Jenny — a Kendal-based, Lake District wedding photographer who loves nothing more than telling love stories through calm, natural imagery. With over 16 years of experience I specialise in wedding and engagement photography, bringing a lifestyle, documentary-led sensibility that favours real emotion over stiff posing. My work is best described as timeless, organic and relaxed — I aim to create images you’ll want to look at for years to come. Why choose me? I’m a hopeless romantic who cares deeply about the people I work with. I take the time to get to know every couple so I can photograph them honestly and beautifully. That connection allows me to blend into the day and capture the small, unscripted moments — the laughter, the quiet glances, the energy of your guests — while still creating thoughtful, composed portraits when the light and moment call for them. My approach is gentle, warm and unfussy. I work mainly in natural light and favour locations across the Lake District and around Kendal that lend themselves to soft, flattering tones and authentic atmosphere. On the day I’m steady, upbeat and reassuring; I’m there to support you, keep things calm and make sure your memories are documented without creating stress or fuss. How I work with couples: we start with a friendly conversation so I can understand your plans, priorities and what matters most to you. I’ll guide you through the lead-up to the wedding with practical tips and calm direction, and I’m happy to plan an engagement or pre-wedding session if you’d like a relaxed chance to get comfortable in front of the camera. On the day I focus on storytelling — photographing the events as they unfold and crafting a collection of images that reflect your personalities and the atmosphere of the celebration.
