Hi, I’m Matt Selby — a full-time wedding photographer based in Hucknall, Nottingham. For the last 14+ years I’ve specialised in creative, documentary wedding photography, concentrating on the real moments and the light that makes them sing. My aim is simple: to deliver wedding photographs that feel both natural and unmistakably yours — images you won’t find on every other couple’s wall. My approach is rooted in storytelling. I blend into the day and stay alert for the split-second emotions that define your wedding — the laugh you didn’t see coming, the quiet look between you two, the chaotic joy of the dancefloor. I’m attentive to light and composition, and I use those tools to create visually powerful images with a distinct, artistic edge. I avoid cheesy posing and forced smiles; instead I favour relaxed couple portraits and a short, efficient portrait session that lets you enjoy your day while still delivering the wow shots that look incredible in an album. I work from a warm studio in Hucknall and I value meeting couples before the wedding.
