I’m Luke Whittemore — a film-first wedding photographer based in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire, who travels across the UK to document real weddings. My work sits firmly in the documentary tradition: I watch, listen and wait for the moments that carry real feeling. I’m drawn to 35mm analogue for its colour, grain and the deliberate slowness it brings, but I also weave digital into coverage so you get the best of both formats where it matters. Why choose me? I limit the number of weddings I take each year so every couple receives my full attention from the planning chats to the final delivery. Before your wedding we’ll talk through your plans, timeline and the parts of the day that matter most. If you’d like to explore film further, I offer Bloom — an analogue experience where you can make and develop 35mm film in the darkroom. On the day I move quietly around your guests, gently guiding only when needed, creating space for real interactions to breathe in front of the lens. Beyond the gallery, I care about tangible keepsakes: bespoke wedding albums, fine art prints and heirloom negatives that become part of your story. Every wedding is bespoke — I tailor coverage to your plans, whether that’s a pared-back elopement or a multi-day celebration. I also provide optional wedding-day content and short video snippets when required, but my primary focus remains capturing genuine photographic moments.
