I’m Emma — a Hove-based documentary wedding photographer who loves Brighton, the sea and the wonderful human stories that make each wedding unique. My approach is simple: I photograph real moments as they unfold, unobtrusively and with a sense of fun. I aim to give you space to enjoy your day while I quietly collect the small, honest details and big emotions that tell the story of your celebration. Why choose me? I focus entirely on weddings. I don’t split my time with studio, corporate or commercial work because what I love most is capturing people — their laughter, tears, awkward dance moves and stolen glances. Over the years I’ve developed a relaxed, conversational way of working that helps couples and guests feel comfortable in front of the camera, even if they’re a little camera shy. My style is documentary-led with a modern, relaxed edge. I look for the genuine interactions and candid moments that matter most, then craft them into a cohesive visual story you’ll want to revisit again and again. Whether your day is by the sea in Brighton, at a rustic barn in Sussex, or an intimate city celebration, I know the local venues well — from The Bandstand, Hotel Du Vin and The Coach House to Pangdean Old Barn and Cissbury — and I use that experience to find the best light and locations on the day. Working with me is collaborative and friendly. I take time to get to know every couple: how you met, what your day will feel like and the little things that make you, you. For many couples I also photograph an engagement shoot as a relaxed warm-up — a chance to practise being in front of the camera and to build trust before the wedding. On the day I stay unobtrusive, keeping you present with your guests while making sure no moment goes unnoticed. The result is a gallery of professional, natural images that celebrate the spirit of your wedding: emotional, joyful and full of personality.
