I’m Stephen Thorpe — a High Wycombe‑based wedding photographer who approaches each wedding as a unique story to be told. My work springs from a long standing love of landscape photography and a deep respect for natural light; that background helps me see and record the fleeting, meaningful moments that make a wedding day special. I photograph for both colour and black & white, and I love how monochrome can reveal the emotion in a single look. Why choose me for your wedding? I keep the process personal and straightforward. I’ll meet you beforehand so I understand your plans and what matters most to you, and I offer a no‑obligation pre‑wedding shoot in Buckinghamshire so you can see how I work and feel comfortable in front of the camera. I don’t rely on a set list of fixed packages — instead I design Tailor Made Packages around your day, whether your venue is a register office, hotel, church or cathedral. My approach is unobtrusive and moment‑led. I look for natural light and genuine interaction, aiming to capture the atmosphere, smiles and small gestures that together tell the story of your day. For portrait time I aim to create a relaxed atmosphere so even those who feel camera‑shy can enjoy the experience and look great in their images. Post‑production is part of my craft: I process images with care using Lightroom, Photoshop and select Nik plug‑ins, and I take particular pride in black & white conversions. I design albums personally and work with one of the UK’s top wedding album producers to create keepsakes you’ll be proud to hand down — and where possible I’ll deliver your album myself. Practically, I shoot with professional Nikon bodies and lenses and maintain robust backups, including off‑site copies, so your wedding photos are safe.
