I’m James — a Havant-based, award-winning wedding photographer who loves photographing real days for real people. My work is centred on a relaxed, documentary approach: I’m not here to stage scenes or shout instructions, I’m here to quietly watch, anticipate and capture the small unscripted moments that make your wedding unique. How I work: I take time to get to know you before the big day so I understand what matters most to you. I offer a pre-wedding consultation — by call or in person — to talk through timings, venues and the moments you want preserved. On the day I shoot from preparations to dancing, seeking out genuine interactions and atmospheric detail rather than forcing poses. I keep formalities simple and stress‑free: group shots are organised and fast, and I split portraits into two short, low-pressure sessions (one in daylight and one around sunset) so you can actually enjoy being together without losing the flow of your day. I also stay late — some of my favourite photographs are captured well after the first dance when everyone lets go and the real party begins. Based in Bedhampton, Havant, I work across Hampshire and travel throughout the UK to photograph weddings.
