Guiseley-based wedding photographer specialising in natural, relaxed storytelling. I capture candid moments, meaningful portraits and the little details that make your day unique.
Hi — I’m Laura, a Guiseley-based Yorkshire wedding photographer who loves photographing real days full of laughter, tears and a lot of flowers. My approach is natural and relaxed: I spend time with you so I can quietly capture the story of your wedding, from the nervous excitement of getting ready to the chaotic joy of the dance floor. I focus on candid moments, the thoughtful details you’ve chosen and a few beautiful portraits of the two of you — without making it awkward. Why choose me? I’ve photographed weddings across Yorkshire and beyond — Leeds, York, Harrogate, Ilkley and my own local venues — and I know how to read a room, find the best light and be in the right place at the right time without being intrusive. I’m proud to be recommended by some of my favourite venues and to work alongside brilliant suppliers and occasional second shooters when a day needs an extra pair of hands. My clients often tell me I feel more like a friendly guest than a photographer, which helps everyone relax and behave like themselves in front of the camera. How I work: we start with a chat — ideally over a cuppa — to talk about your plans, timings and what’s important to you. I offer engagement shoots to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera and to plan those portraits you’ll actually enjoy. On the day I blend documentary-style coverage with gentle, guided portraits so you get both the story and a handful of calm, composed images you’ll treasure. After the wedding I carefully edit your images to reflect the light and emotion of the day, delivering a gallery that’s easy to share and beautiful to look back on. Alongside weddings I also photograph family and maternity sessions, bringing the same relaxed, story-led approach to newborn bumps, family adventures and home shoots. If you’re planning a wedding in Yorkshire and want photos that feel honest, joyful and a little bit floral-obsessed, I’d love to hear from you. Pop me a message and let’s get a date in the diary — I’m usually powered by tea (and the odd dairy-free ice cream) and always up for a wedding adventure.
