I’m Charles of Galileo Photography — a wedding photographer based in Godalming with a genuine love for telling wedding stories. For more than twenty years I’ve had the privilege of documenting couples’ days in Surrey, across the UK and occasionally overseas. My work is rooted in a simple belief: the best wedding pictures come from relaxed, authentic moments, captured with respect for the flow of your day. My approach is documentary-led but attentive. I begin by photographing bridal preparations and stay through to the evening celebrations, so I can capture the arc of the day — the small details, the laughter, the glances, the speeches and the spontaneous moments that become lasting memories. Couples often tell me they feel more like friends than clients; I aim to keep things calm and natural so you can spend time with your guests while I quietly create images that tell your story. I take pride in excellent venue knowledge across Surrey and nearby regions, which helps me advise on light, locations and timings to get the best results without disrupting your plans. Whether it’s a country house, a listed park or a marquee celebration, I look for moments that reveal the character of your day and the people who share it with you. A key part of what I offer is creating heirloom wedding albums. Handmade in Italy, these bespoke albums are designed with you — we sit down together after the wedding (often with a decent bottle of wine) and design the book page by page. The result is a beautiful, tactile keepsake that tells your wedding story in a way that digital files alone cannot. Photography for me is personal and rewarding. I bring technical skill and creative sensitivity, but it’s the connection with couples and families that makes the work so special.
