I’m Ben — an award-winning wedding photographer based on the Fylde Coast, living and working from Poulton-le-Fylde. Wedding photography is my primary focus because I love capturing the real, unscripted moments that make each day unique. My background in informal portrait photography means I work to preserve the personality, laughter and emotion of your celebration rather than creating stiff, posed images. My approach is relaxed and documentary-led. I aim to blend into the background so you and your guests can enjoy the day without feeling like the camera is in charge. That doesn’t mean there aren’t any formal shots — I value the traditional family and bridal group photos — but I prefer to shoot them in a calm, fun way that gets you back to your guests and a glass of Prosecco sooner. Good communication and planning before the wedding helps me understand how you want the day recorded and lets me tailor my coverage to your vision. I bring a hands-on, creative edit to every image. I shoot in high-resolution RAW and individually process each photograph in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop to bring out colour, mood and detail. Finished images are delivered as high-quality, easy-to-use JPEGs via a file-sharing link or on a USB, depending on your preference. I pride myself on producing images that look natural, timeless and full of life — photographs you’ll want to print and display. As a father of three I know which photos families truly treasure: the candid hugs, the big laughs, the tiny details. That sensitivity to moments informs how I work on wedding days and during engagement or bridal shoots. While weddings are my speciality, I also shoot family and portrait sessions and can bring that same relaxed, emotive style to engagement photography and bridal portraits.
