Hi — I’m Stan, an award-winning documentary wedding photographer based in Folkestone, Kent. I specialise in wedding photography because nothing excites me more than being part of a day that’s honest, joyful and utterly unique to the people celebrating it. My work is about storytelling, not staging: I prioritise real moments over posed portraits so your gallery reflects the way the day truly felt. Why choose me? I shoot in a candid, unobtrusive way — I blend in with your guests, make people feel at ease and quietly capture the conversations, tears, laughter and chaos that make every wedding different. You won’t find me asking anyone to say “cheese” or turning your celebration into a photoshoot. Instead, I focus on timing, composition and emotional truth so the images take you back to the moment years from now. My approach is relaxed but intentional. During couple time I keep things natural and simple — no awkward poses, just gentle guidance so you feel comfortable and present. For group photos I prioritise tradition and efficiency (VIPs only unless you prefer more), so we get the important shots without dragging your day into a long formal session. I’m proud to be a member of This Is Reportage and Fearless Photographers, and those connections reflect the documentary, photojournalistic spirit that runs through my work. I photograph weddings across Kent and the UK, and I love destination weddings—travel energises me and I approach overseas celebrations with the same curiosity and care as local ones. As a Kent-based photographer I often stay longer for local weddings and don’t charge travel fees within the county, because Kent has a special place in my heart. Beyond the day itself, I believe great images deserve to be experienced in print. I offer handcrafted Folio Albums to help couples relive their wedding in a more tangible, personal way.
