I’m Lisa Kershaw — the photographer behind Drawn by Light Photography, based in my cosy studio in Elland, near Halifax. Wedding photography is at the heart of what I do: I specialise in relaxed, natural storytelling that captures the tiny moments and big feelings of your day. I love working in barns, manor houses and boutique hotels across Yorkshire and bring an experienced eye for light, composition and those private, fleeting moments that matter most. I look for authentic emotion and flattering light, and I pride myself on making camera-shy couples feel at ease. Whether it’s laughter in the getting-ready room, stolen glances at the altar, or a golden-hour portrait in the grounds, my focus is on telling your love story so that every photo brings you back to how the moment felt. From our first chat we become collaborators — I listen to what’s important to you, advise gently on timelines and locations, and bring practical experience of many Yorkshire venues.
