Hey, I’m Darren — a wedding photographer based in Elland, West Yorkshire. For more than a decade I’ve been photographing weddings across Yorkshire and Lancashire, and I still get a kick out of every single one. My work is about colour, emotion and the little in-between moments that make your day unique. If you want vibrant, raw and joyful images — and you’re not a fan of stiff posing — you’re in the right place. My approach is relaxed and documentary-led. I prefer to blend into the day so you can enjoy your guests, the speeches and the party, while I quietly capture those genuine reactions and connections. I’ll nudge for a few natural portraits if needed, but mostly I’m there to record real life — laughter, tears, confetti, dancing and all the unscripted magic. I want you to look at your wedding photos and say, “That’s our people.” Working with me is straightforward and personal. We’ll chat ahead of the day to break the ice and go over the timeline, so you know what to expect. On the day I aim to be calm, confident and unobtrusive — letting your story unfold while I photograph it. After the wedding I carefully edit and sequence your images so they tell the narrative of your day, keeping the colours lively and the emotions honest. While weddings are my core focus, I also offer a few complementary options to enhance your celebration. If you’d like dynamic aerial shots or a pop-up photo booth for guests, those are available as extras. They’re not the main reason people choose me — they’re simply handy add-ons for couples who want them. Every wedding is different and I love working with couples who value authenticity over a photo checklist.
