I’m Paul — Bomknights — a Dukinfield-based wedding photographer who’s spent the last 15+ years refining a relaxed, documentary approach. My work is for people who want proper memories: real laughs, messy dancing, quiet glances and everything in between, captured without the faff of staged shots. Why choose me? Because I photograph weddings the way they actually happen. I don’t bark orders, I don’t insist on ridiculous setups, and I won’t steal hours of your day for contrived portraits. My aim is simple: to blend in, be part of the day and make photographs that transport you right back to what it felt like. I often describe my style as a guest’s-eye view — small camera, sensible kit, and a focus on timing, emotion and relationships rather than hollow visuals. What makes my approach special is a mix of experience and intent. Over a decade and a half shooting weddings across Dukinfield, Manchester, the North West and further afield, I’ve learned how to read a room, anticipate moments and capture them without interruption. I love story-driven galleries where every image has meaning — none of the filler, none of the stiff poses. I favour honesty over tricks: real expressions, genuine smiles and the chaotic joy that makes a wedding memorable. How I work with couples is straightforward and low-stress. We’ll chat first — often a meeting or video call — so I understand what matters to you. On the day I keep things loose: I’ll move around like another guest, nudge when needed, and step back when it’s time to be invisible. You’ll get a considered, hand-edited gallery delivered via a secure online system so you can relive the day and share with family and friends.
