I’m Stephen — a Midlands lad who loves photographing weddings with a documentary eye and a big dose of golden-retriever energy. Based in Dudley, I specialise in wedding photography that feels like it was shot through the eyes of a guest: natural, candid and full of the small, honest moments that actually matter. Why choose me? Because I don’t treat your wedding like a stiff photoshoot. I’m all about connection — getting to know you, how you laugh, the little looks you share — so that on the day you can be present and enjoy being with your family and friends. My style is hands-off and unobtrusive: simple prompts, gentle direction and plenty of space for real emotions to come through. The result is wedding photos that make you remember how it felt, not just how it looked. My approach is straightforward. I take the time to meet you before the wedding (often with a pre-wedding or engagement shoot) so we can break the ice, go over plans and make sure you feel comfortable around me. On the day I actively engage as a guest would — working around your flow rather than interrupting it — and I focus on storytelling: the laughs, the tears, the chaotic joy and the quiet, intimate moments. Inclusivity and approachability are central to my work. As a queer photographer, creating a safe, welcoming space for every couple is important to me. I welcome all kinds of weddings and take pride in making planning and the photography experience as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. I also care about leaving a positive footprint. Where I can, I choose sustainable suppliers and plant a tree with the National Trust for everyone who works with me — because memories matter, and so does the world we leave behind.
