I’m Jules — the storyteller behind Your Story Studios, based in Darton. My work is built around one simple idea: your wedding should feel like your wedding, not a photoshoot. I specialise in wedding photography and wedding videography, because those two formats together tell a fuller, richer story. I aim to capture how your day felt as much as how it looked — the small gestures, the accidental laughs, the quiet moments — with a relaxed, documentary approach that keeps things natural and unforced. Why couples choose me is usually the same reason they stay in touch after the day: I care. I’m calm, organised and honest, and I take the awkwardness out of being photographed. I work in a way that lets you enjoy your guests and your plans, only stepping in when a gentle nudge or a short portrait moment will create something you’ll love forever. My style mixes candid observation with creative composition — a neutral but colourful palette, occasional high-contrast black & white frames, and films that match your personality whether that’s slow and emotional or fast and fun. Because I shoot both photo and video myself, I offer hybrid coverage that reduces the number of people at your wedding while keeping consistency across all your memories. If a day calls for it, I’ll bring trusted associates so we can capture both of you getting ready, multiple angles during ceremony and more immersive coverage overall. Engagement or pre-wedding sessions are available too — they’re a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera and create material that becomes part of your wedding story. I also include aerial/drone capture where it’s appropriate and safe, as a subtle way to add cinematic perspective to a film or album. Beyond that, I focus on weddings — from micro elopements to multi-day celebrations — and tailor every film and gallery to reflect the couple in front of my lens. My process is simple and friendly: get to know you, plan around what matters, stay flexible on the day, and craft memories that let you relive the day for years to come.
