I’m Emma — the photographer behind Glix Photography, based in Darton near Denby Dale and proudly serving Huddersfield and the wider UK. Wedding photography is my core speciality. Over more than a decade I’ve refined a reportage-led approach that puts people first: I’m a storyteller, not a director, and my aim is always to capture the honest, unscripted moments that make each wedding unique. My style is relaxed, unobtrusive and natural. I work quietly around the flow of your day so you can be present with your family and friends while I document the laughter, tears and tiny details that matter. Whether you want full-day coverage from preparations to first dance or a shorter, focused package, I adapt my coverage to suit your plans — always with the same commitment to creating timeless images you’ll treasure. I believe great wedding photography comes from connection. That’s why I offer pre-wedding/engagement shoots so we can get to know one another and you can feel comfortable in front of the camera before the big day. Where needed I can bring an assistant or second shooter to capture alternate angles and those behind-the-scenes moments — ensuring a fuller story of your day. When your photos are ready you’ll receive a private online gallery to view, share and select your favourites. I also design and produce beautiful keepsake albums — handcrafted, lay-flat designs that present your images with the care they deserve. Presentation matters to me just as much as the image itself. I’m based locally in Darton but I photograph weddings across Yorkshire and the UK. My approach is friendly, professional and calm — couples often tell me how at ease they felt having me around.
