I’m Tom Hibberd — a Cramlington-based wedding photographer who loves photographing real moments. My work centres on natural, fun and documentary-style wedding photography: bright, honest images that let you relive the laughter, tears and small details of your day for years to come. Why choose me? I limit the number of weddings I take each year so every couple receives my full attention. That means I have time to get to know you, understand what you want from your photographs and build a relaxed rapport that helps even camera-shy couples feel at ease. My approach is simple and human. I work quietly and observantly, looking for honest reactions and spontaneous moments rather than forcing poses. When portrait time comes I give calm, clear direction to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera, then step back and capture natural interactions. I’m a perfectionist about composition and light, but I avoid over-styled editing; my aim is to present your day as it happened, not a photoshopped fantasy. I bring decades of life experience to the role — after a long public-sector career I now dedicate my time to wedding photography and the landscapes I love. When I’m not photographing weddings you’ll find me walking the Northumberland countryside or climbing the mountains with Benji, my working Cocker Spaniel. That love of place shows in my images, particularly for couples who choose venues across Newcastle, Northumberland and the wider North East. Working with me is straightforward and friendly. From first contact I’ll listen to your plans, scout locations where needed and make sure the photography runs smoothly on the day — quietly helping where I can so you and your guests can enjoy the celebration. While weddings are my primary focus, I also photograph events occasionally; however my reputation and specialism remain firmly with weddings.
