Hi — I’m Andy. Based in Consett I specialise in wedding photography across the North East and the wider UK. My work sits at the intersection of creative documentary storytelling and considered portraiture: I’m there to capture the real, unscripted moments that make your day unique, while also making space for a few beautiful portraits that show who you are together. My approach is relaxed and collaborative. I won’t whisk you away for hours; instead I create short, meaningful portrait moments and let the rest of the day breathe. I work with couples to understand what matters most to them — whether it’s candid reportage of family and friends, atmospheric ceremony images, or creative portraits against the beautiful North East landscape — and I aim to deliver a gallery that takes you back to the day every time you look at it. Over the last decade I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings and I limit the number I shoot each year to ensure every couple receives dedicated attention and a carefully edited final gallery. I also offer engagement shoots and can include analogue/film captures for couples who love the look and feel of film. While weddings are my core focus, I can create complementary natural portraits and family sessions where useful to tell your story fully.
