I’m Lisa Cowen, an award‑winning, full‑time wedding photographer based in Congleton, Cheshire. Weddings are my passion — I’ve been photographing celebrations for over 15 years and have captured the stories of hundreds of couples across the North West and beyond. My work is driven by a love of available light and authentic moments: I aim to create images that feel natural, emotional and timeless. My approach blends unobtrusive reportage with a touch of gentle direction when needed. For much of the day I work quietly, blending into the background to record hugs, laughter and the small details that make your day unique. At key moments — signatures, confetti, the couple portraits — I’ll step in with a little organisation to ensure those classic images are captured, always with a relaxed and friendly manner. Couple portraits are a favourite part of the day for me. I usually take just short pockets of time, often before and after the wedding breakfast, to find the best light and create a variety of looks: soft, romantic images as well as bold, atmospheric portraits. These short escapes give you a breather from the celebrations while producing some of your most cherished photographs. I believe a great wedding experience is built on clear communication and calm professionalism. From our first chat I’ll listen to your plans and tailor my approach so the photography fits your day. You’ll find me organised, insured and well prepared — I carry backup equipment and shoot with mirrored memory systems to keep your images safe. After the wedding I carefully edit and present your images in a personalised online gallery that makes it easy to view, download and share. You’ll also receive a high‑quality USB of your full‑resolution files, and I can design beautiful Graphistudio storybooks and albums if you’d like a lasting keepsake.
