Hi — I’m Simon. Based in Clevedon, I specialise in wedding photography and tell each couple’s story with a calm, unobtrusive presence. My aim is simple: to make photos that feel like you. I photograph weddings in a relaxed, natural way, blending into the day so you can enjoy it without pressure or awkward posing. My approach grows from years of experience shooting a wide range of weddings. I favour honest, documentary-style moments — the laughter, the quiet exchanges, the unscripted details — balanced with a handful of more artistic, fine-art portraits that give your album depth and variety. When I take couples’ photos I don’t impose stiff poses; I take you somewhere that suits the two of you, suggest a starting point, then let you be yourselves. The best portraits are the ones that feel effortless. Working with me is about ease and trust. Before the day we’ll have a chat (phone or video) so you know what to expect and I understand what matters to you. On the wedding day I work politely and efficiently with your timetable and venue team, quietly capturing moments rather than creating them. I also have techniques for family and group shots that make them quick, fun and unobtrusive, so you can get back to your guests. Although weddings are my core focus, I’m happy to photograph engagements and portrait sessions as part of your journey — great for getting comfortable in front of the camera and building rapport before the big day. I’m also passionate about travel and occasionally photograph destination weddings; I love finding beautiful, local moments and light wherever the celebration takes place. As a creative tool I use aerial drone imagery when it complements the day and the venue, offering a dramatic viewpoint without overshadowing the story of your wedding. That’s a secondary element I call on thoughtfully, not a replacement for the human moments that make your wedding unique. Ultimately, I’m driven by making images that bring back the feeling of the day.
