I specialise in wedding photography from my base in Chesterfield, Derbyshire — photographing weddings with a candid, informal style that focuses on real emotion, laughter and the small details that make each day unique. As a wedding specialist I aim to tell the story of your day, not stage it: I mingle with guests, chat, and create a relaxed atmosphere that helps even the most camera‑shy feel at ease. Genuine smiles and natural moments are far more powerful than posed, formal shots. My approach is warm, friendly and unobtrusive. I love to begin the day capturing the bride’s preparations and the quiet excitement of the morning, meet the groom and the groomsmen before the ceremony, and be in place to record the arrival, ceremony and that all‑important first kiss. Throughout the day I prioritise candid moments — congratulations, laughter at the speeches, quiet looks between newlyweds — but I’m always happy to work with you for a few formal or fun portraits when you want them. I enjoy capturing the full wedding story from ceremony through to dancing, creating a mix of emotional documentary images and beautiful bridal portraits. I’ve been photographing weddings, families and pets for several years now and I bring that experience, patience and sensitivity to every wedding I shoot. Being based in Chesterfield means I know many of the venues across Derbyshire, and I regularly work in Yorkshire, the Midlands and beyond. I’m comfortable with different light, locations and personalities, and I always adapt to what your day needs. Working with me feels straightforward and friendly. I like to get to know you before the day so we can create images that reflect who you are. On the day I aim to be a calm presence — capturing emotion without getting in the way. After the wedding I carefully edit your images to bring back the joy of the day; I still get choked up or giggling in the edit suite when a photo transports me back to a moment.
