I’m Gill, the photographer behind Mouse About Town. Based in Cheltenham and working across Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds, I specialise in wedding photography with a fine art sensibility. My practice grew from a formal training in fine art photography at Central St Martins and more than a decade of photographing real weddings. That combination gives me a confident eye for light and composition while keeping a warm, human approach to the people I photograph. My style blends creative reportage with contemporary portraiture: I look for the honest, unscripted moments that reveal the feel of the day, then balance them with considered portraits that reflect who you are as a couple. I aim to be unobtrusive so you can enjoy the celebration, yet present and attentive so nothing important is missed — from the nervous laugh before the ceremony to the small interactions that make each wedding unique. Working with couples is a collaborative, relaxed process. I take time to get to know you before the wedding so I understand your priorities and how comfortable you are in front of the camera. Whether you want playful, natural images or a more posed, editorial set of portraits, I tailor my approach to suit your day. I’m used to photographing families and children at weddings and know how to create a calm atmosphere that helps everyone feel at ease. What I love most is telling a wedding’s story — the atmosphere, the details, the fleeting moments of connection.
