I’m Marcus — the face behind Bigeye Photography, a Cheltenham-based wedding photographer specialising in relaxed, documentary wedding photography. I believe the best images come when couples can enjoy their day without feeling posed or pressured. My aim is simple: tell your best story by finding the life, emotion, colour and fun in every moment. My approach is unobtrusive and enthusiastic. I work quietly around the edges of your day, seeking the little interactions, the stolen glances and the laugh-out-loud moments that make a wedding unique. I love natural light, movement and spontaneity, and I encourage couples to move, chat and be themselves — those organic moments create the most honest and memorable photographs. When it’s time for portraits, I keep things friendly and conversational so even camera-shy couples feel at ease. Practical, personable working style is key to how I shoot. I get to know each couple in the lead-up to the wedding, and many opt for an engagement/pre-wedding shoot — a brilliant way to familiarise yourselves with the camera and to get comfortable with me long before the big day. On the day I blend direction with documentary storytelling: gentle guidance for couple shots, and a documentary mindset for the rest of the day. Images are delivered in a private online gallery so you can share, download and relive the day with friends and family. While wedding photography is my primary focus, I also capture cinematic wedding films alongside the photos for couples who want a moving record of their day. Videography is produced to complement the photography, preserving key moments and the atmosphere in short highlight or longer feature-style films. Based in Cheltenham, I photograph weddings across Gloucestershire, the Cotswolds and beyond.
