I’m Rick Dell — a multi-award winning wedding photographer based in Cheadle Hulme, GB. For more than 25 years I’ve specialised in photographing weddings, and I believe the most important images are the ones that capture how you feel, not just the events on the day. My work is rooted in a relaxed, modern approach: documentary-led, full of real emotion, with carefully placed creative shots and striking night photography to give your album contrast and drama. What sets my photography apart is the focus on the moments between the moments — the tears, laughter, quiet looks and spontaneous reactions that tell the true story of your day. I don’t do endless awkward posing; instead I blend with your guests, work unobtrusively and guide when a little direction will create something beautiful. Many couples tell me they value the natural, candid images as much as the handful of striking, composed portraits we create together. I’m fully insured, a qualified member of the Guild of Wedding Photographers and have been recognised nationally for both creative work and customer service. Having photographed over 1,700 weddings, I bring experience and calm to every part of the day — from scouting locations early to arriving prepared with the gear and know-how to handle any lighting or weather. My process is friendly and straightforward. We start with a conversation (you’re welcome to visit my studio in Cheadle Hulme), then a free pre-wedding shoot so you can relax in front of the camera and I can learn what matters most to you. On the day I work unobtrusively to capture documentary moments, step in for creative group and couple images, and finish with memorable evening and night shots. Final images are delivered in high resolution on USB and can be presented in heirloom albums and storybooks I personally design — beautiful keepsakes built to last. While weddings are my primary focus, I also offer portrait sessions and can work alongside videographers when couples want both photo and film.
