I’m Adam Riley, a documentary wedding photographer based in Cheadle Hulme on the outskirts of Manchester. For more than a decade I’ve specialised in storytelling wedding photography — a street‑influenced, reportage approach that puts your day first. I aim to get out of the way so you can be present, while using experience and timing to anticipate and capture the real emotions, laughs and tiny details that become the memory of your day. That means my images are built from real moments — candid embraces, midnight silliness, kids being kids — not contrived poses. I blend in like a guest, getting close to the action without directing it, and produce images with a natural, cinematic feel. My approach has been recognised internationally, but the most rewarding feedback comes from couples who tell me my photos gave them their day back. How I work: we’ll start with a friendly conversation about your plans and what matters to you. On the day I stay observant and mobile, photographing preparations, ceremony, reception and late‑night dancing with an unobtrusive eye. I do make time for relaxed couple portraits — a short walk together, a few quick family group shots — but these are kept brief and natural so you can get back to celebrating. I regularly shoot a roll of 35mm film alongside digital coverage for a classic, tactile layer to your story, and I offer a hybrid slideshow upgrade that brings audio and short video clips together with your photos for a more alive keepsake. Beyond the day: every image is individually edited with care and delivered via a password‑protected online gallery. For couples who want physical heirlooms, I design fine art albums and coffee‑table photobooks that reflect the rhythm of your wedding story. I take a limited number of weddings each year so every couple gets my full focus.
