I’m Phil Bedford — a Catford-based wedding photographer who specialises in reportage, documentary-style wedding photography across London, Sussex and the South East. For more than 15 years I’ve been telling wedding stories with a discreet, unobtrusive approach: my aim is always for your photographs to make you remember not just how the day looked, but how it felt. Why choose me? I keep the process simple and personal. I limit the number of weddings I shoot each year so I can give every couple the care and creative attention their day deserves. My style blends candid reportage with carefully considered couple portraits and, when the moment calls for it, creative flash lighting and more adventurous compositions. I look for honest, emotional moments — the shared glances, the laughter, the small gestures — and I compose images that will stand the test of time. How I work with couples: from first enquiry to delivery I focus on building an easy, friendly relationship. I’ll take time to understand your day, recommend a timeline that helps capture key moments, and — if you’d like — offer a pre-wedding engagement shoot so you feel relaxed and confident in front of the camera. On the day I adopt a discreet presence, moving around your celebration to capture natural interactions while still stepping forward for important portraits and group shots. I also offer the option of a second photographer for larger weddings to broaden coverage and perspectives. Presentation and keepsakes: many couples choose to pair their wedding photographs with beautifully made presentation products. I work with Graphistudio® albums, designed professionally and printed in Italy, as well as folio wooden print and USB presentation boxes — all intended to help you share and preserve your story for family and future generations. Awards, trust and coverage: I’m an award-winning photographer with recognition in industry awards and a Licentiate with the Royal Photographic Society. Based in Catford, I cover weddings across London, Sussex, Kent and Surrey and am happy to travel further for destination celebrations. A note on video: while wedding photography is my core focus, videography is available as an optional extra through my trusted videography collaborator — a simple way to combine cinematic film with still imagery if you want both.
