I'm Allen — the photographer behind Creative Pixel Photos, based in Rattlesden near Bury St Edmunds. Wedding photography is my passion and my primary focus: over the last decade I've built a reputation for cinematic, editorial-documentary images that feel timeless rather than trendy. Why choose me? I combine documentary instincts with a quietly directed editorial eye. I aim to be a "privileged guest" at your wedding — unobtrusive when the moment needs it, and gently guiding when a beautiful, natural portrait is required. My images have a distinct soft, film-like character inspired by the 60s: I use specialist cameras (Leica M10, Nikon bodies) and older lenses with character, then finish each image with custom Lightroom edits to achieve that romantic film look. What makes my approach special is the balance. I live for the candid, emotional moments — the little unscripted gestures, the laughter, the stolen kisses — yet I also create a handful of magazine-quality couple images where light and background are perfect. I know how to find or make that spot, get you in and out quickly (often five minutes) and deliver images that look effortless and natural. How I work with couples: we start with a chat — in person or on Zoom — so I understand your plans and style. I often include an engagement shoot so you can meet me "at work" and see how I operate; it’s a low-pressure way to get comfortable in front of the camera. On the day I blend into the crowd using mainly wide focal lengths so I’m close to the action, never hiding in a corner. After the wedding I professionally edit your gallery and aim to deliver your photos quickly — many couples get their digital images within two weeks. Awards, experience and reliability: I'm a multi-award photographer and a member of recognised societies; I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings across Suffolk, Essex and Norfolk and am known for turning up, come rain or shine. While wedding photography is my core, I also offer complementary services — cinematic ceremony and highlights video, portrait sessions and a selection of art prints — all delivered with the same visual sensibility.
