Hey — I’m Gareth Newstead, a Burton upon Trent–based wedding photographer who’s obsessed with capturing real moments. My work sits somewhere between creative portraiture and natural documentary photography — or as I sometimes call it, creative / documentary / natural / unobtrusive / call-it-what-you-like. The images I deliver are professional wedding photos with personality: beautifully crafted reportage mixed with considered couple portraits that you’ll want to frame. How I work: before your wedding I’ll take time to get to know you and understand what you want from your wedding photography. On the day I shoot unobtrusively, documenting the emotion, the atmosphere and the unexpected moments. When the time’s right we’ll step away briefly for creative portraits — these are relaxed, natural sessions that let you breathe and be yourselves. After the wedding I carefully edit your images to create a coherent, emotive gallery you’ll return to for years. My approach is well suited to churches, barns, lakeside venues and boho-chic settings across Staffordshire, Derbyshire and the Midlands, but I’m happy to travel across the UK. I’m proud to be known for capturing epic dancefloors, heartfelt speeches and those little details that make your wedding unique. While wedding photography is my primary focus, I also shoot portraits, family sessions and maternity photography when couples want lifestyle images before or after their big day.
