I’m Pete Jones, a Brighton-based wedding photographer with an MA from Goldsmiths. I specialise in wedding and engagement photography that balances documentary honesty with a considered, editorial edge. Over years of working across Brighton, London and beyond I’ve developed a quietly observant style that seeks the small, genuine moments as much as the composed portraits – the laughter between speeches, the glance at the end of the aisle, the texture of a dress in late afternoon light. My approach is unobtrusive and collaborative. Before the day we talk through your plans, priorities and the parts of the day that matter most to you so I can be in the right place at the right time without interrupting the flow. Many couples choose an engagement shoot as a warm-up; it’s a relaxed way to get used to being photographed and helps me capture natural images that feel like you. On the wedding day I move between documentary coverage and brief, calm portrait setups — bringing a studio-like atmosphere to a convenient space on site when people want posed imagery alongside the candid reportage. I work with modern, professional kit – currently Canon 5D Mk IV cameras and a range of lenses and lighting solutions – and for larger events I can bring an assistant to ensure the day runs smoothly. Post-production is important: images are edited and refined in Lightroom and Photoshop to achieve a consistent, timeless finish. Final images are delivered via my PhotoShelter library for easy, secure downloads and ordering of hi‑res files or prints.
