I’m Carly Brown — an Essex-based photographer rooted in Brentwood and specialising in wedding photography with a true love for portraits and engagement sessions. My passion for photography started with my grandad back in 2009, and that same excitement and care still guides every wedding I shoot. I believe the real trick behind photography isn’t the camera — it’s the person holding it. It takes an eye and, most importantly, heart to capture the moments that matter. As a specialist wedding photographer my aim is simple: to create honest, emotive images that feel like your day felt. I work in a warm, documentary-led style, staying observant and unobtrusive so I can catch the tiny, unscripted moments — the laughter, the quiet glances, the details others might miss. At the same time I love making time for gentle portraits that let couples and families breathe and be themselves; those relaxed, natural portraits become a beautiful counterpoint to the candid story of the day. My approach is friendly and personal. I enjoy meeting couples early on, talking through the flow of the day, and understanding what’s important to you. I aim to put everyone at ease — from camera-shy guests to bridal parties — with a calm, conversational manner that helps genuine moments surface. On the day I blend into the background when needed and step forward with clear direction for portraits, always focusing on creating a relaxed atmosphere. While weddings are my core focus, I also photograph portraits and occasionally take on advertising work.
