I'm Alan Wennington — a wedding photographer based in Blyth, working across Newcastle, Northumberland and Durham. With more than three decades behind a camera and nearly 30 years photographing weddings, I specialise in capturing the real moments that make a wedding day unforgettable. You’ll find I’m approachable and organised: I like to meet couples beforehand to discuss the plan for the day, share ideas, and ensure we’re on the same page. That preparation helps me relax you on the day so the photos feel true to who you are. Although weddings are my core focus, I also enjoy portrait, event and equine photography — work that keeps my creative eye sharp and informs the way I see people and place. I’m an award-winning member of two camera clubs and I bring that creative energy to every wedding I shoot. Leaving a long career at BT has given me the freedom to give more time to photography and to the couples I work with. Outside of photography you might find me paddleboarding — a reminder to keep enjoying the moment, just like I aim to do when I’m behind the lens.
